Waygate Technologies angle beam transducers are single beam units that are designed for use with the Waygate Technologies USM Go flaw detector.
These transducers use refraction to transmit shear or longitudinal wave at a predetermined angle and are preferred for parts with inclined flaws, such as
welds. Wedges (sold separately) are used to hold the unit at the desired angle. A layer of couplant is required between the transducer and the material being
tested.
Waygate Technologies angle beam transducers are ideal for general weld inspection as well as identifying flaws on pipes, tanks, pressure vessels, containers,
axles, forgings, castings, pumps, valve housings, bridges and other structures, railroad wheels and rail, turbine blades, shafts, wheel rims, and others.
